Jayles has spent years at the heart of Tanzania’s hospitality world and it shows in everything she does. From the warmth of a first welcome to the quiet precision of a perfectly timed itinerary, she understands that great travel is built on trust, care, and knowing the details that matter.
Her background spans guest relations, logistics, and operational management across Tanzania’s diverse environments, from vibrant city hubs to remote wilderness camps. But what truly sets her apart is her intimate knowledge of the people, communities, and cultures that make this country extraordinary.
At JUA Explorer, Jayles champions travel that is authentic, inclusive, and deeply intentional. She doesn’t just plan trips, she designs encounters that leave travelers changed. For her, Tanzania is never just a destination. It is a living, breathing experience and she is passionate about making sure every guest feels it.
Senior Safari Guide & Field Specialist
Mr. Evans is the kind of guide who spots what others miss. After years leading expeditions through Tanzania’s national parks, conservation areas, and hidden wilderness corridors, his knowledge of wildlife behavior, ecological rhythms, and off-the-beaten-path routes is second to none.
He has guided an extraordinary range of travelers, from first-time visitors to documentary film crews and conservation researchers, bringing the same exacting attention and genuine enthusiasm to every journey. His experience with Serena Lodges and Ushoroba Safaris sharpened a guiding philosophy rooted in environmental respect, guest safety, and the belief that nature deserves to be understood, not just observed.
When he’s not in the field, Alex is hiking, planting trees, or exploring local cuisines with a passion for cooking, because for him, the love of this land doesn’t clock off. It is who he is.
