JUA Explorer is built upon the vision, discipline, and long-standing professional expertise of its founders, Ms. Jayles Asimwe and Mr. Evans Ikera, two distinguished practitioners who have significantly contributed to the evolution of Tanzania’s tourism sector. Their combined leadership embodies a sophisticated understanding of East Africa’s ecological systems, cultural richness, and the strategic role of tourism in community development. Together, they have established an enterprise defined by operational excellence, ethical engagement, and a commitment to delivering transformative travel experiences.
Ms. Jayles Asimwe brings a distinguished record of managerial capability and culturally informed hospitality developed through many years of service within Tanzania’s tourism and lodging industry. Her professional experience spans guest relations, logistical coordination, and operational management across both urban centers and wilderness environments. She has cultivated a deep appreciation for Tanzania’s diverse communities, landscapes, and cultural heritage an appreciation that directly informs her leadership style.
At JUA Explorer, Ms. Ikera advances a philosophy anchored in authenticity, inclusivity, and meticulous attention to detail. She is dedicated to ensuring that every traveler engages with Tanzania as more than a geographic destination, but rather as a dynamic experience shaped by culture, community, and nature.
Mr. Ikera is a veteran safari specialist with extensive field-based expertise spanning Tanzania’s national parks, conservation areas, and cultural landscapes. Renowned for his precise understanding of wildlife behavior, ecological patterns, and off-the-beaten-path routes, he has guided travelers, documentary teams, and conservation professionals for many years. His background includes service with Serena Lodges and Asilia Lodges, where he refined his approach to guiding, environmental stewardship, and guest safety. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is passionate about hiking, tree planting, and culinary exploration interests that mirror his commitment to nature, sustainability, and the art of meaningful travel.
